Tuition & Financial Aid

A student's educational expenses are assessed each semester and are based on the number of credits (also known as "points") for which he/she registers. In addition to tuition, students also pay registration / student service fees.

Financial Aid

Financing a graduate school education is a matter of serious concern for many students. In fact, an NYU education may be more affordable than many think. There are a large variety of financial-aid options available to public health students, and we encourage you to visit the website of the NYU Office of Financial Aid for more information. In addition, the NYU MPH offers many of its students program scholarships that partially defray the cost of tuition.

In order to apply for federal financial aid such as loans and grants, U.S. citizens and permanent residents must complete the U.S. Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA becomes available shortly after January 1 for the upcoming academic year.  If you intend to apply for financial aid to help cover the costs of your study, you should not wait until you are accepted to file the FAFSA. For the fastest and most accurate results, we encourage you to apply electronically via the FAFSA website. If that is not an option, you may pick up the forms at a college financial aid office near you or have them mailed to you by contacting NYU's University-wide Office of Financial Aid at the address below:
